What we do

Outdoor space you can actually use.

Sun, humidity and afternoon storms are hard on outdoor structures here, and unforgiving about how one was framed. All of this is built to that, not to a photograph.

New decks

Designed, permitted and built — footings, framing, decking, railings and stairs, in pressure-treated, cedar or composite.

Deck repairs

Failing boards, loose railings, rotted posts and the ledger connection that causes most of it, put right rather than covered up.

Resurfacing

New decking and railings on framing that is genuinely sound — the cheaper answer, when the structure earns it.

Covered porches & pergolas

Shade that makes an outdoor room usable from June to September, designed with footings, loads and a permit.

Screened porches

Screening, doors and framing built into the structure from the start rather than retrofitted around it afterwards.

Staining & sealing

Washed, prepared and sealed against a Georgia summer — as part of a build or on its own.

How we work

How we build and repair a deck.

We check where your deck meets the house first

Almost every deck that fails, fails at that joint. We check how the ledger is fastened, whether it was flashed, and what the band board behind it looks like — because a deck attached with nails and no flashing is holding water against the frame of your house. If that is what we find, it is the first thing in your quote and it is not optional.

Deck framing and ledger connection at the house

We show you the framing and let it decide the job

Sound framing with tired boards is a resurface: new decking and rail on a structure that is fine. Failing posts, undersized joists or a structure that was never permitted is a rebuild, and pretending otherwise just puts new boards on a problem. You see what is underneath, and the structure decides — not the quote.

Deck boards and railing being replaced

We design covered space rather than assemble it

A covered porch or pergola is what makes an outdoor room usable from June to September here. It is also a structure with footings, loads and a permit, tied into a roof that already exists — so it is designed and inspected rather than assembled. Screening, lighting and a fan are decided at that stage, not retrofitted later.

The quote

What a deck quote covers.

Decks are priced from the framing out. Two decks of identical size can be a weekend of boards or a full rebuild, and only looking underneath tells you which one you have.

Always included

  • Walkthrough, structural check and a written quote in 48 hours
  • Ledger, flashing, posts and footings inspected before quoting
  • Permits and inspections under our license where required
  • Demolition and haul-away of what comes off
  • Framing, decking, railings and stairs
  • Staining or sealing, and the site left clean

What changes the number

  • Whether the existing framing can be kept
  • Height off the ground, and what that means for footings and rails
  • Material: pressure-treated, cedar or composite
  • Stairs, landings and built-in benches
  • A roof, pergola or screening over it
  • Lighting, fans and anything needing power run out there

Good to know

Deck questions homeowners ask.

Not seeing yours? Call (762) 900-3286 and just ask — we're happy to help.

Can my old deck be saved, or does it need replacing?

The framing decides, not the boards. We look underneath at the ledger, posts and joists and show you what is there. Sound structure with tired decking is a resurface and costs far less; failing structure is a rebuild and we will not pretend otherwise.

Do I need a permit for a deck?

In most of these jurisdictions, yes — and for anything covered, almost always. We pull it under our license and schedule the inspections. A deck built without one is a problem that surfaces when you sell.

Composite or wood?

Composite costs more up front and almost nothing to maintain; pressure-treated costs less and wants sealing every few years. In this climate that maintenance is real work, so we price both and let you decide with the numbers in front of you.
