What we do

Floors, and the trim that finishes them.

Most flooring quotes price the material and hope the room cooperates. We price the room too, because that is what decides whether the floor lasts.

Hardwood

Solid and engineered, installed or refinished — sanded, stained and sealed in place where the existing boards are worth keeping.

Luxury vinyl plank

Waterproof, hard-wearing and the right answer for basements and busy families, laid with the expansion gap the manufacturer requires.

Tile

Floors, entries and wet areas, set on a properly prepared and levelled substrate rather than straight onto whatever is there.

Stairs

Treads, risers and landings, priced by the tread because that is how the labour actually works.

Baseboards & casing

Coped joints, tight mitres, holes filled and sanded, caulked to the wall before painting — the part your eye reads as quality.

Crown & trim details

Crown moulding, chair rail, wainscoting and picture-frame trim, matched to the profiles already in the house.

How we work

How we install a floor.

We check what is under your floor before quoting one

Every hollow spot, squeak and lifted plank traces back to what was underneath. We pull a section, check for flatness, moisture and movement, and level or re-fasten before anything new goes down. A floor laid over a bad subfloor telegraphs it within a year — and by then fixing it means pulling up the floor you just paid for.

Subfloor prepared and levelled before installation

We acclimate your material in the room before it goes down

Wood and LVP move with humidity, and North Atlanta gives them plenty to move with. Material delivered and installed the same day is material that gaps or buckles in its first season. We let it sit in the room it is going into, and we leave the expansion gap the manufacturer requires even where it is tempting not to.

New flooring being installed across a living space

We finish with the trim that makes the room look done

Baseboards, casing, crown and the transitions between rooms are the part your eye reads as quality. Mitres tight, joints coped rather than butted, nail holes filled and sanded, caulked to the wall before painting. It is the last ten percent of the work and most of what a visitor actually notices.

The quote

What a flooring quote covers.

Material is the part you choose and the part every website quotes. The rest of the number is what the room underneath needs, and that is only knowable after somebody looks.

Always included

  • Walkthrough, measurements and a written quote in 48 hours
  • Subfloor inspected, levelled and re-fastened as needed
  • Removal and haul-away of the existing floor
  • Material acclimated in the house before installation
  • Baseboards, casing, transitions and thresholds
  • Doors trimmed to clear, and the room cleaned before handover

What changes the number

  • What comes out first — tile and mortar cost more to remove than carpet
  • How far out of level the subfloor is
  • Material: hardwood, engineered, LVP or tile
  • Stairs, which are priced separately and by the tread
  • Whether trim is reused, replaced or upgraded
  • Furniture and appliances that have to move and come back

Good to know

Flooring questions homeowners ask.

Not seeing yours? Call (762) 900-3286 and just ask — we're happy to help.

Do I have to move all my furniture?

No — moving and returning furniture is in the quote. What we do ask about in advance is anything fragile, very heavy, or an appliance with a water line, so the day is planned rather than improvised.

Can you put new flooring over the old one?

Sometimes, and it saves money when it works. But it raises the floor height at every doorway and it hides whatever is wrong underneath, so we look first and tell you honestly whether it is a saving or a problem deferred.

Is LVP or hardwood better for my house?

Hardwood for the value it adds and the fact it can be refinished; LVP for basements, kitchens and houses with children and dogs. We will tell you which we would use in each room rather than which has the better margin.
