How we work
Nail pops filled, cracks opened and taped rather than skimmed over, glossy trim scuffed so the new coat has something to hold, every patch spot-primed so it does not flash a different sheen in daylight. A cheap quote is almost always one that skipped this day — and you find out at the first low sun through the window.
Floors covered, furniture moved to the middle and wrapped, doorways sealed, and the room put back the same day it is finished. We work one area at a time so you are never locked out of the whole house, and everything that came off your walls goes back on rather than into a pile in the garage.
Wall-to-ceiling and wall-to-trim lines are cut by hand, not taped and hoped for. Two coats unless your colour change needs three, and we tell you which before we start. The last thing we do is walk the room with you in daylight — because artificial light hides exactly the thing you would notice a week later.

Interior painting is priced from the surfaces, not the square footage — a room with ten doors and crown moulding is not the same job as an empty box the same size.

No. We work one area at a time and put each room back the same day it is finished, so you keep the rest of the house. For a whole empty house we can move much faster, which is why move-in repaints cost less.
A few rooms is usually a couple of days; a full interior runs closer to a week depending on how much trim and ceiling work is in it. You get the schedule before we start, not as we go.
We can, but we usually advise against it — the seams telegraph through and the paint can pull the paper loose later. We will price both so you can see the difference, and say plainly which one we would do in our own house.
